The 2016 middle school football season is about to get underway. This season, we'd like to welcome Leonard Brown as our new head coach. Below are some important dates for those interested in playing football for TK Stone this year.
Monday, July 11, 2016: Parent and Player meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the TK Stone football field. This meeting is for all current players and for anyone interested in joining the team.
Thursday, July 14, 2016: All players report to TK Stone for baseline concussion testing at 4:00 p.m.
Friday, July 15, 2016: First practice begins at 5:00 p.m. In order to practice, students must have a current KHSAA sports physical for grades 5-8 in order to participate. Required forms are available in the TK Stone office. If you think you already have a sports physical on file with the TK football program, you should check with the coach prior to the first practice to make sure your physical is current.
* Be on the look out for an informational letter that will go out in the first 2 weeks of July to all
students currently enrolled in TK Stone Middle School.

July 20th - 6th Grade 8:30am to 6:00pm
July 21st- 7th Grade 8:30am to 6:00pm
July 22nd- 8th Grade 8:30am to 6:00pm
July 23rd - Any students that could not come earlier in the week may stop by TKS - 9:00am to noon on this day
*6th Grade Orientation- July 26th 8:30am-1:00pm
*Back To School Event- July 30th at TKS and MES - time to be announced later- you will receive more
information from central office about this- it will be a district wide event
*TK Stone Open House- August 2nd - open to ALL grades- time to be announced at a later date

Are you going to be an 8th grader in the 2016-2017 school year at TK Stone Middle School? If you are then you have a chance to go to New York City on your 8th Grade Class Trip. It's that time of year again. The spring book fair has arrived in the library at TK Stone. This is a buy one get one free book fair that runs May 2-May 6 from 7:30-3:30 daily. On April 28, 2016, the arts department at TK Stone presented the second annual Arts Showcase. This featured visual artwork from students at TK, exhibitions of independent study student art work, and performance of vocal, instrumental, and dramatic arts by students. We'd like to say, "Great job," to all the students whose works were shared at the showcase. We'd also like to say thanks to the arts department at TK Stone for putting on the event, and to the teachers, administrators, and staff at TK who supported or attended the event.
There will be a parent meeting, regarding the 8th grade class trip to Washington, DC, on October 1st at 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center at TK Stone Middle School.
Morning Tutoring will begin on Monday (August17th) in Ms. Reynolds' classroom, room #406, from 7:00am - 7:45am.
1. Students who wish to attend will need to check in with the person on duty in the gym to let them know they are going to Morning Tutoring.
2. They may bring their breakfast with them. Please let them know they are to get their breakfast immediately after checking in with the person on duty.
3. Students may receive help with their work and/or use this time to complete any unfinished homework.
